Rug Cleaning

The process:
| Pre-Inspection: * | | When you decided to use World of Rugs & Furniture's cleaning service, we first will pre-inspect the condition of your rug.
We will look for: fading, discoloration, stains, wear, pre-existing damage, color instability and odors.
At this point we will determine the appropriate cleaning procedure.
| Dusting: | | Dust and particulate matter that is lying deep within the rug, are being removed using compresses air and specially designed tools.
Vacuuming, shaking or beating aren't nearly as effective as this method we use.
| Treating: | | Spots and stains on your rug will be pre-treated so that they will come out easier during the cleaning process.
| Cleaning: | | The rug will be professionally cleaned and treated. Soil, dirt and stains will be removed.
| Rinse: | | After the cleaning process, the rug will be rinsed, to make sure that all the soil as well as all the cleaning residue is removed.
| Dry: | | After the rug has its cleaning procedure completed, it will be left to dry in out climate controlled drying room. Because this room is climate controlled, the drying time will be less then 24 hours instead of days!
| Final Inspection: | | After the cleaning and drying process, there will be a final inspection.
World of Rugs & Furniture has high standards and if we find any issues during this inspection, we do not hesitate to repeat any of the above steps, in order to get your rug as clean as possible!
| * | | Note: During the pre-inspection, it is possible we determine that additional steps besides the normal cleaning procedure are needed, to restore your rug to it's best possible appearance. Rugs that are unusually dirty with soil, excessive spots or situations that require extra labor and/or materials, may require additional charges.

Orders typically require 2 to 7 days to shipping within the contiguous United States. In some cases rug pads and accessories can arrive separately.
Orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or Canada will incur shipping charges based upon the size of the rug. In addition, Canadian customers are responsible for all taxes and customs fees.
For more urgent orders, we can air freight (Delta Dash) your rug, (additional fees apply).

We Buy Old Rugs
World of Rugs & Furniture has been in the business of selling antique rugs for a long time. If you would like to sell your rugs, World of Rugs & Furniture is interested to see what you have. We are always looking for old or antique pieces and we pay top market value to acquire them. We are happy to evaluate your rug and determine whether or not we should purchase it. If your rug is desirable for us to purchase, we will guarantee immediate payment.
Alternatively, you may have the option of applying the value of your rug toward the purchase of a different rug from our inventory. If neither of these options is possible, we will advise you on ways to secure the optimum price for your rug elsewhere.
If you are interested in selling an old rug to us, we need to have the following: - At least three pictures (but preferably more) showing the entire rug as well as details. You should also include pictures of the back of the rug taken as close up as possible. The pictures of the back show the structure of the rug, which is essential in evaluating its origin and quality.
- The approximate dimensions of the rug, length and width.
- Information regarding the condition of the rug. Does it have wear, holes, tears, or stains etc.?
- In addition, it is extremely useful to have information concerning the provenance of the rug- where it was acquired, who owned it before you etc. Such information can add considerably to the significance and value of a rug and may affect the decision whether or not to purchase it.
